WEEK 10-1-2009

St. Mary's hall. During the coming weeks improvements will be made to St.Mary's Hall.
A new floor will be laid and the room will be painted.
All users are asked to be patient while work is in progress.

Crosscannon Graveyard Improvements. Tarmacadam will be laid during next week on the pathways inside the graveyard and the parking space on the roadside, this should enchance the graveyard immensely.
A new alter will be erected,a gift given by a kind parishioner. ManyThanks.

Thanks to everyone who made our Church's look so beautiful over the Christmas.
St. Vincent De Paul. Would like to thank everyone for being so generous at their church gate collection. Amount collected was 2.607.85 euro
A special thanks to the pupils of Moyglass school who collected 925 euro.



 

WEEK 17-1-2009

Our thanks. Sincere thanks from the people of the parish to Mary and Patty Tobin of Main Street for their service to St.Mary's Church and for their flower arranging in the Church.
We thank them and wish them every happiness in the future.

Killenaule Active Retirement. A.G.M takes place in St.Mary's Hall on Tuesday 10 February at 2 .30 .
Yoga Classes starting January 28th in St Mary’s Hall.
Aqua aerobics on Friday morning 10.00 to 11.00
Happy new year to all members.

WEEK 24-1-2009

The History of Cashel/Emly. The book has beautiful pictures of every Parish Church in the Dioceses with many historical articles regarding events in each parish
This Historic book can be had in the sacristy of both churches in the Parish, cost is only 30 euro.


Congratulations To Larry Walsh,Cashel Road. Saturday night last was a great night of celebrations For Larry as he celebrated his 90th birthday.Joined by his family the celebrations began with Mass in St.Mary's Church.
It was then onto the Sports Complex where over 200 people had gathered, All sat down to a lovely meal and the cutting of a beautiful birthday cake by Larry.
The night was filled with laughter, music and song to the early hours of the morning.
Larry may you have many more years of health and happiness.

 

Senior Citizens A .G .M. Will be held in St Mary’s Hall after 10.30 Mass on Monday 26th January.


 

WEEK 31-1-2009

Special School for Travellers Special school for travellers commenced on Tuesday last in St Mary's Hall with 12 children present accompanied by their tutors.
It is hoped that the Local Health Nurse will attend and help them in regard to health care matters.
Thanks to all who offered help.

Moyglass Graveyard Committee. A limited number of graves are available at the front of the Churchyard in Moyglass.These graves will be sold on a first come, first served basis.Graves can also be purchased in a new extension to the graveyard.

Reminder Killenaule A .R .A Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 10th February at 2.30 in St. Mary’s Hall, new members welcome.
