Tipp F.M.Search for Talent:
Three fifth year students from Scoil Ruain have qualified for
the next round of Tipp FM’s (Search for Talent) Alan Bourke,Sade
Cody,and Elaine Ryan all members of Scoil Ruain’s Choir were selected
at auditions held at the school.
The winner of the competition will receive a prize of 1,000 euro.

Farewell and welcome This
week we bid farewell to Fr. James O'Donoghue C C who has
been a curate in the parish for the last 5 years.
He is leaving Moyglass to move to Hollyford. During his stay in
the Parish he has endeared himself to all. He is wished every
happiness and blessing in his new appointment.
Our New Curate Welcome to Fr. Francis Mc Carthy (native
of Thurles)who leaves Hollyford to replace Fr. James and we hope
he finds happiness in his ministry in Killenaule and Moyglass.
Slieveardagh Calendar 2009
This is a beautiful work of art, It is called the Slieveardagh
Heritage calendar 2009 and is selling at 10 euro.Available in
shops and Killenaule Heritage Centre.
WEEK 21-2-2009
Nationwide RTE Nationwide
came to visit the Slieveardagh area on Tuesday 10th visiting Killenaule,
Derrynaflan, The Commons,Kilcooley and the old mines at Gurteen.
It was very well documented and everyone who told their stories
of life working in the mines acquitted themselves very well.What
beautiful view's we had of the Slieveardagh Hills and stories
by the people who worked in the Slieveardagh Mines.
Daffodil Day - Daffodil
day takes place this year on Friday 20th March. Many events will
take place in the Parish for Cancer Care, Please support this
worthy cause in your area

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the people of
Moyglass and Killenaule for all the kindness, help you have shown
to me over the past 5 years and for making me so welcome here.
I am sad at leaving but I am looking forward to starting a new
part of my vocation in Hollyford. May God bless and keep you all,
Fr. James.

WEEK 28-2-2009
100th Birthday -
A large crowd attended the celebrations for Mrs. Mary Hennessy,
Graystown.on Saturday 21st February to join her on her 100th Birthday,starting
with a special Mass celebrated by Canon Liam Ryan in St.Marys
Church, assisted by Fr. Tom Breen, Fr.Ailbe O'Brick and other
priests friends of Marys.
The music during Mass was provided by Killenaule Folk Group.
Solo singing by Mary's grandniece Jacqueline (Geoghegan) Mangan
accompanied by her husband, and Denis Dwan. Congratulations were
read out at Mass from President Mary McAlese and Archbishop Dermot
Clifford.
Presentation of a bouquet of flowers to Mary from the Parish by
Kathleen Cormack. Mary and her family were joined by 350 guests
at a function in the Park Hotel Clonmel.
Many more tributes were paid to Mary during the night and Joe
O'Dwyer gave a very interesting "This is your Life" recalling
many events in Mary's life. Mary is a very active lady plays Bingo
a couple of nights each week.
She is a member of Active Retirement and attends Senior Citizens
and can stiil do her favourite craft crochet. Mary is a joy to
meet and can still play grand old Polkas rarely heard to day,
her favorite piece is that lovely air " Slievenamon".
May she have many more years of good health and happiness.
Many thanks to Mary's family for giving us a night to remember
and to those Musicians and Dancers who made the night so enjoyable.
Killenaule G.A.A. Killenaule
Senior Football beat Clonmel Commercials in the county senior
football league by 1-9 to 0-9 the Under 21 Football team also
won beating Mullinahone 3-9 to1-2
