Competition Time
The monster competition has drawn to a close. Firstly we had an art competition where the children from St. Mary’s Central School colourfully decorated some windows of local shops. All the children have to do is find the five gold rings, spread out between three shop windows in the town, fill out entry form (which are available in each of the shops) and drop into box. The draw took place in St. Mary’s Central School on Friday 21st December at 10.30 am. There were four prizes of €25 voucher for a shop in Killenaule of the winners choice. The winners are: Katie Healy who won a €25 voucher for Bourkes, Katie Rigney who won a €25 for John O’ Dwyer Butchers, Conor Quigley who won a €25 voucher for Centra and Sarah O’ Connell (voucher to be decided).
The next part of this monster competition involves TY Students from Scoil Ruain who will make, as part of a team, a symbol of Christmas and enter their names and the names of all the students present in school yesterday into a draw which took place in Scoil Ruain on Thursday 20th December at 3.45 pm. There were four winners and each won a €25 voucher for a shop of their choosing in Killenaule. The winners are: Conor Cuddihy, Michéal Dunne, Luke Ryan and Daniel Cooney. They each decided they wanted a €25 voucher for Bourkes.
And the final part of this monster competition is when you purchase in any shop and you spend over €10 you are entered into a draw to win a €100 voucher. All you have to do is sign the back of your receipt and drop it into the box provided in the shop. The draw took place in the carpark in Pike Street on Friday 21st December at 5 pm. The winners are: John McCormack, Kilkennybeg who won €100 voucher for John O’ Dwyer Butchers, Ester Maher, Ballincurry who won a €50 voucher for Delis Hairdresser’s, Bernie Barret, Main Street who won a €50 for Laherts, Marie Maguire who won a €50 voucher for Hair Dynamics, Elaine Corbett who won a €50 voucher for Toys and Things.
Well done to all the winners. And thank to everyone who contributed to making this competition be such a success.
