Thanks To Everybody
On 7th June 2013 all roads led to Wytchway Inn Holycross for Lucy Connolly’s Annual Fundraising Dinner in aid of Cara Projects Kenya. The night started with a four course dinner, followed by music and a raffle. €2,000 was raised on the night of which Lucy is grateful to everybody who supported her. Lucy would like to thank CJ and Lorraine Skehan and also the Skehan family and all the staff at the Wytchway Inn. Thanks also to Annette Healy, Mary Maher Gortnahoe, Geraldine and Pat O’ Connor and Ann Delaney for all their help. A special thanks to Mary O’ Connor for organising the event.
Famine 1848, 27th July At 3 pm
This Annual Walk takes place in Ballingarry on Saturday 27th July at 3 pm. The starting point is the National Flag Monument in The Commons and concludes at the Famine Warhouse, the State National Heritage Site. The walk covers a distance of one and a half miles. The walk commorates all those who died during the Great Famine and the 1848 Rising; which took place in Ballingarry in the middle of the Famine. This walk will be led by Dr. Martin Mansergh. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
Millennium Family Resource Centre
Is running a Full Time E Business Level 5 course from September 2013. The course includes modules such as Web Authoring, Entrepreneurial Skills, Communications and Work Experience. We will be running open interviews on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th July from 10 am to 4 pm. You must be aged 18 – 35 and in receipt of a Social Protection Payment to apply. Charity Walk With Alex
In Glengoole on the 16th July 2013 at 7 pm. Registration fee is €10. All proceeds going to the Jack and Jill Foundation. Walk/Jog/Run. Come and enjoy the fun. Participants will have a choice of doing 2,4,6 or 7 kilometres. The registration will be open from 5 pm on Tuesday 16th July in Millennium Family Resource Centre Glengoole. Eucharistic Adoration
Continues every Wednesday in the Prayer Room from 11 am – 7 pm. To all our parishioners we say feel free to come to the Prayer Room on Wednesday. Why not just drop in and spend some time with the Lord – He would want to meet you and speak to you there. An appeal to all who have cars, call and bring a parishioner confined to their homes, what a wonderful way of helping people to meet Jesus.

Getting Married In The Catholic Church
1. You are required to give 3 months notice to the Priest where the Marriage is celebrated.
2. Fill in a pre-nuptial form with the Priest of your Parish.
3. Produce – Recent Baptismal, Confirmation Certificate and Letters of Freedom.
4. Produce Certificate confirming attendance at a Marriage Preparation Course.

This week’s Prize Fund is €17,250.00– Jackpot: €17,050.00. Tickets cost €2.00 and are available in Slieveardagh Centre Killenaule, Shops, Pubs and Post Offices in Killenaule, Ballingarry, Glengoole, The Commons, Gortnahoe, Grange, Ballysloe and Ballynonty.
