In 1898, my great grandfather “John Cantwell” left his home in Killenaule and made his way to America. I am wondering if any Cantwell’s remained behind and are poss still in the Killenaule area. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it if they would contact me via email and let me know. Thank you all.
Looking for descendants of Meaneys 1830s. Specifically a Mary Kennedy and Michael Meaney who married in 1830.
Many thanks Christina.
My late father Michael O’Connell was born here in the early 30s. He had a younger sister called Margaret, both moved to England 1950s and mother followed later. Little information about his life. Would like to hear from anyone who knows anything .Thanks
My maternal grandmother, Catherine Kane, was from Graystown, Killenaule, and I believe a parishioner of St Marys. Her DOB was around 1888. Some siblings were Thomas & Eleanor/Ellen. Emigrated to USA early 1900s. Any & all info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The family is listed on the census as Keane rather than Kane, parents were Edmond (a Shepherd) and Johanna.
