Killenaule Juvenile GAA Club News
U6s have had a busy couple of weeks travelling to Ballingarry for both football and hurling game. They also travelled to Dr. Morris Park for hurling blitz. A total of 8 teams travelled to Killenaule for a very successful U6 hurling blitz.
U8’s travelled to Ballingarry for football and hurling games and they also travelled with the U11’s to Urlingford for hurling game.
U12D team lost the South Semi Final v Cahir in a very close and exciting game. The game ended in a draw with Killenaule having to work hard to level the game. Killenaule played with great spirit and were unlucky to see a goal shot sail wide in the last puck of the game to leave Cahir winners by 2 points. Best of luck to Cahir in the final.
Well done to U14B team who won South Semi Final v Clonmel Og 4-8 to 1-4. Scores on the night from Jack Cashin, Johnny Gleeson, Oisin Lyons, Padraig O’Dwyer and Oisin Shelly. Best of luck in the South Final v Cahir.
U14C team lost to a much stronger team in South Semi Final v Ballyporeen/Skeheenarinky but have made progress since the start of the year.
Well done to club players Jack Hassett U16 and Johnny Gleeson U14 who played with Tipperary in the annual inter-county hurling tournaments. This is a fantastic achievement for both players and testament to their hard work and determination.
Congratulations to Tipperary U21s winning the U21 All Ireland Hurling Final v Cork, especially Killenaule players Cillian O’Dwyer and Paudie Feehan.
