Free BTEI Courses starting Sept 2021 in South Tipperary
Hope you are all safe & well.
Please find attached, list of free courses available through BTEI which are scheduled to start from September 2021 in Cahir, Carrick on Suir, Cashel, Killenaule, Newcastle, Tipperary Town & Clonmel.
Applicants can apply online through the www.fetchcourses.ie website. Details on how to apply are included on the attached list of courses and there are also further instructions on how to Register for a FETCH account (FETCH Guide for Learners) are attached.
Please note that the following courses, details of which are also available through www.fetchcourses.ie, are not available for online application:
- PLSS 306730 Carrick Early Childhood Care & Education Level 5
- PLSS 307013 Clonmel Early Childhood Care & Education Level 5
Details of the above courses are available on FETCH but application is “Direct Entry Only” to BTEI – so if someone is interested in those courses, they must contact BTEI on numbers/email provided on the list.
The reason these are Direct Entry Only is due to the fact those Childcare awards are in the process of being de-activated so anyone wishing to join those courses with us this year must already have completed certain other components which we can explain on enquiry.
Also, places on the following two courses are also limited (but can be applied for via FETCH):
- PLSS 306827 Cashel Care Support (Daytime)
- PLSS 306838 Cashel Work Experience (Daytime)
Both above, have a work placement requirement so anyone applying for those will have to have other healthcare components completed prior to application and have access to a work placement or be working in an appropriate healthcare facility – a note to that effect is on FETCH under “Further Details”.
Courses are free to those on :
- Social Welfare Payments or Dependants of Social Welfare Recipients
- Medical Card
- CE Scheme
- Less than Upper Second Level Education or equivalent (i.e. those who’s highest level of education is less than Leaving Certificate or equivalent)
If you or your clients experience any difficulties with the online application process please feel free to contact me by emailing me – bwhelan@tipperaryetb.ie
Bye for now & take care,
